Most commonly known for producing basics, the Gap is often overlooked among vintage collectors, yet they produced some real gems in the 1990's and before. Check out these fall favorites from the men's shirting department, with vibrant, high-contrast prints. The all-over pheasant feather print on a mustard-tan micro cord, and the multicolored ski figure on an orange-red base are bold statements that embody the return of color that we've been seeing more of on runways this past year. As for the fit department, vintage Gap pieces run pretty true to size. A small or medium fit without looking like a shirt came straight out of the Robert Smith archives. Not that we mind the Robert Smith archives, but we prefer to leave that to Comme. Check for other vintage Gap classics at Beacon's Closet.
