tropical trek

this week’s road vogue is brought to you by allison, florida native, and the jewelry designer behind naked label, which is known best for organic, geometric, and often sea-inspired jewels. she travels to her tropics to share with us the shapes and colors that inspire her designs.

destination: jacksonville and st. augustine, florida.

purpose of journey: time away to relax with family, friends, and nature.

never travel without: a good book, my journal, and music.

favorite outfit you packed: a blue ombre kaftan that i got in greece. the cotton is amazingly soft and breezy.

how many pairs of shoes: two. i try to pack the bare minimum since i’ll have them off as much as possible!

what are you listening to: harry belafonte and john wizards. and i’m really into south african music right now.

favorite meal: my favorite beach bar has an amazing happy hour with crazy-cheap oysters, crab clusters and fish tacos!

highlight of the trip: one of my favorite moments was being in my friend’s pool on the river and seeing a group of dolphins in the distance swimming and playing. it felt very surreal to be doing the same thing at the same time as they were.
