dry shampoo

launching for a stage dive during 'crazy spirit' - lensed by steven ruud

destination: austin, texas.

purpose of journey:  “this is austin, not that great” a three day punk festival at the spiderhouse ballroom
and hotel vegas.

never travel without: dry shampoo and a camera!

favorite outfit you packed: vintage paisley long sleeve dress, ripped up fishnets, oversized army jacket and black justin boots.

how many pairs of shoes: 2. also brought a pair of low cut wrangler cowboy booties, just to fit in a ‘lil.

what are you listening to: since I was down there for a fest, i want to list my favorite bands that played! lumpy and the dumpers, mystic inane, urochromes, C.C.T.V., motorkiller, insititute, moscoso, crazy spirit, glue and la misma.

favorite meal: breakfast tacos at veracruz.

highlight of the trip: a huge group of friends cooked a big family style dinner the first night of the fest. it was an incredible meal and  everyone was in such high spirits, we couldn’t stop talking smack and laughing. going bowling was also a highlight. it is nice to do wholesome things with a group of freakers!

a new friend i made during the weekend. she was wearing a wig “as a hat” because it was uncharacteristically cold and she didn’t have anything warmer for her head. she jumped up on stage to do her first stage dive and peeled it off before hand, drag style. it was beautiful.

“cowboy butts drive me nuts” found this etched graffiti in a bathroom stall at yellow jacket, a bar we went to our first night in town.
